@turpentine_healer I’ve been to Nigeria several times and plan to move there God willing. Apparently, what I said went over your head. It only takes one individual to influence others. Many people have had and have global influence and caused global change. That’s all I’ll say. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️Have a good day✌🏽

Newly released surveillance video has saved a 16-year-old girl from prosecution after it showed she tried to fight off Chicago officers while they beat, punched, tased and dragged her down the school stairs. #ChicagoPoliceDepartment#DnigmaHoward#ChicagoPublicSchools#policebrutality

I purposely didn’t post this yesterday (which was when I learned about it) because I REFUSED to take away or sabotage the Beauty Of Nipsey Hussle’s Celebration Of Life Yesterday. I felt like as a respected outlet, I did owe that to Nipsey and his family. He truly was sent off like a king 👑 and this or anything else will never be able to take away from that. That being said it’s a new day so I feel like it’s ‘just a little’ more appropriate, if that. ➡️Im showing you guys this to show WHY The Marathon HAS to continue. This Footage surfaced online yesterday from a Los Angeles father claiming that his son’s walkie-talky ‘allegedly’ picked up LAPD Radio Frequencies. While listening, he hears the ‘alleged’ LAPD Officers disrespecting family of #NipseyHussle while he’s being buried. Late last night, The LAPD publicly denounced any claims that the racist person(s) heard on the LA father’s son’s walkie-talkie during #NipseyHussle funeral had any type of connetion with ‘Law Enforcement’ .. Good Morning Britain viewers hit out at show's presenters for 'reverse r...

Having sported a very orange hue on Wednesday's Good Morning Britain, Richard Madeley was mocked about it by co-hosts Adil Ray, Sean Fletcher and Ranvir Singh on Thursday.
The 62-year-old suffered an epic fake tan fail the day before, and was likened to Donald Trump and Ross Gellar from Friends, while also drawing comparisons with Willy Wonka's Oompa Loompas.
But some viewers felt the jokes went too far on Thursday's show, accusing Adil in particular of being racist.
The broadcaster was sure to egg on the joke after Ranvir remarked: 'I tell you what, you look part of the family.'
'I've got the fake tan bottle,' he said, holding up the bottom. 'Look Pakistani in two-and-a-half hours, that's what I've got.'
Showbiz reporter Richard Arnold chimed in: 'His tan seemed to grow and develop over the show, we've all been there, usually in Mykonos or something.'
Newsreader Sean jumped on the teasing bandwagon, saying: 'I was sittin…

Cops son burns down three historic black church's in Louisiana

Authorities in southern Louisiana said Thursday that the suspect in a spate of black church fires is the son of a parish sheriff’s deputy.

Holden Matthews, 21, was arrested Wednesday and charged with three arson counts in three church burnings in St. Landry Parish across 10 days that have frightened black communities, prompting worry that they were racially motivated crimes.
“It has been especially painful because it reminds us of a very dark past of intimidation and fear,” Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) said at a news conference.
Matthews is the son of St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Roy Matthews, who was “shocked and hurt” at the news of the arrest, St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said. Guidroz rebuffed earlier reports that Matthews was taken into custody by his own father.
That is false, he said from the podium.
“This case was solved with boots on the ground and butts in the air,” Guidroz said, though he added Roy Matthews helped direct his son away from his home to make the …

Cory Booker introduces Senate bill on slavery reparations

Sen. Cory Booker on Monday introduced a bill that would study the possibility of reparations for descendants of slaves, embracing a push that recently has caught the interest of fellow 2020 Democratic presidential candidates.
The senator from New Jersey said Monday that “this bill is a way of addressing head-on the persistence of racism, white supremacy, and implicit racial bias in our country. It will bring together the best minds to study the issue and propose solutions that will finally begin to right the economic scales of past harms and make sure we are a country where all dignity and humanity is affirmed.”
The measure is a Senate companion to a bill introduced in the House of Representatives in January by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, which if passed into law would set up a commission to study the impact of slavery and continued discrimination against black Americans and make recommendations on reparation propo…

A congressional hearing on hate crimes and the rise of white nationalism was derailed by conservatives questioning whether white supremacy exists today at all, with some urging the committee to focus instead on “all hate speech.”

The House Judiciary Committee had the perfect opportunity acknowledge the problem and attempt to address it at the source while questioning a panel of expert witnesses on extremism and hate in the country, as well as executives from Facebook and Google, whose platforms are under fire for amplifying that extremism.

Instead, the floor was repeatedly given to conservative witness Candace Owens, a Trump-supporting Infowars and Fox News contributor who recently said Hitler would have been fine if he had simply remained a nationalist in Germany. The focus of the meeting quickly shifted from the rising death toll in the name of white supremacy to Owens’ main talking point: that discussing white nationalism at all is a Democratic ploy to win elections.

Candace Owens’s presence turned a serious inquiry into a farce

The new Democratic House majority held a hearing Tuesday on the rise of white nationalism, following the mosques massacre in New Zealand, the Pittsburgh synagogue killings and the deadly neo-Nazi march in Charlottesville.

Republicans invited Candace Owens to testify.
That would be the Candace Owens whom the alleged perpetrator of the New Zealand atrocity called “the person who has influenced me above all.” It’s not clear whether he was sincere in saying that, but perfectly clear was Owens’s glib dismissal of the notion that her words could have encouraged such evil: “LOL!” and “HAHA.” She said the American left tied her to the carnage because it feared her “Blexit” plan to have black people quit the Democratic Party.
That’s also the same Candace Owens who in December said “if Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, okay, fine. The problem is that he wanted — he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize.” She lat…

Thank you for calling out Republicans, @reptedlieu.

According to the Trumpets this is fake news. Smh Those were her exact words. This woman is a horrible person.

@half_man_half_terps no, what's ridiculous is calling a black woman, a white supremacist 🤣, now THAT'S RIDICULOUS 😂👍

Put A Yellow Mark If They're Black?!

Housing discrimination, bank discrimination, and job discrimination against black Americans is a REAL issue. This is just ONE of the ways that they try to hide it...

Louisville police wouldn't treat a white kid that way

I’ve been thinking about that night so many years ago after watching the body camera footage when a Louisville Metro Police officer pulled over 18-year-old Tae-Ahn Lea for an alleged minor traffic violation at Burwell Avenue and 18th Street.
Lea was pulled from his car, frisked and handcuffed. For making a right turn into the left lane – instead of staying in the lane nearest the curb.
The full story: Louisville police handcuffed a black teen for a wide turn, then told him to 'quit with the attitude'
All those years before, when Tom pulled into traffic, hit a police car and sped away from the accident, no one pulled anyone from the car. No one was frisked. No handcuffs were needed.
We were clean-cut kids – the back of our hair well above the shirt collar lest we draw the ire of Mr. Nunn, the director of students at St. X.
Most importantly, we were white.
Tom, I think, got a ticket. We were sent on our way.
That would not happen to a black kid.
Not then. Not now.
In Lea’s case,…

Ofcom investigating ‘white people’ remark by Jon Snow

The media regulator has launched an investigation into comments made by the Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow, who said of a pro-Brexit protest that he had “never seen so many white people in one place”.
Ofcom said it had received 2,644 complaints about the comment, which Snow made during a live broadcast outside the Houses of Parliament on 29 March as pro-Brexit protesters gathered in Westminster on the day the UK was meant to leave the EU.
While wrapping up the programme, Snow said: “It’s been the most extraordinary day. A day which has seen … I have never seen so many white people in one place, it’s an extraordinary story. There are people everywhere, there are crowds everywhere.”

In a deposition in May, Lockett’s attorney, John Sweeney, asked Aldama, “Do you have any ill feelings towards African Americans in general?” Aldama asked Sweeney to repeat the question several times, before answering, “I do, sir.” He later claimed have misunderstood the question and denied having ill feelings toward Black people.
On Jan. 15, 2016, Sheldon Lockett was standing outside his godmother’s house in Compton, California, when he said Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Samuel Aldama and his partner Mizrain Orrego jumped out of their squad car, guns drawn. Lockett became frightened and ran. Aldama and Orrego announced on the radio that Lockett was armed, then they chased and cornered him in a nearby backyard. When he attempted to surrender, the two deputies savagely beat him while yelling the N-word, according to a federal civil rights lawsuit filed in July against the County of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), Aldama, and Orrego.…
