With 84% of White victims killed by other Whites and 93% of African American victims killed by other African Americans. THE 90s Begining in 1991, the number of homicides reached an all-time high of 24,703. Then fell rapidly to 15,522 homicides by 1999. Of those during the 1900s, AA made up 49% of violent crime in America. Which is around 12,000 of the 24,703 violent crimes in the 1990s.
