EX-NFL EXEC JOE BANNER'SKINS BLACKBALLED KAEPERNICK... FOSTER SIGNING PROVES IT

EX-NFL EXEC JOE BANNER'SKINS BLACKBALLED KAEPERNICK... FOSTER SIGNING PROVES IT The Redskins blackballed Colin Kaepernick for political reasons -- and the Reuben Foster signing proves that -- so says ex-NFL exec Joe Banner. Washington reportedly passed on Kap because of the worry of distractions he'd bring to the team ... but then signed Foster -- an LB accused of domestic violence -- just days later. Banner -- a former Eagles president and Browns CEO -- says he doesn't see how that's logical ... and tells TMZ Sports it's clear the 'Skins didn't want Kap because of his political beliefs. "It clearly means the Redskins are blackballing Colin, and I think they're doing it for political reasons," Joe says. "The team happens to be run by two guys that have been very clear in their politics in Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder, and it's clearly not a good political fit." Joe says that's crazy to him as a former NFL personnel exec ... sayi…

WATCH: White high school student in Nazi jacket gets punched by black classmate

WATCH: White high school student in Nazi jacket gets punched by black classmate A viral video filmed inside a Denver high school shows a white student wearing a Nazi uniform jacket getting punched by his black classmate — and research into the white student’s background showed he posed with other anti-Semitic memorabilia. The Denver Post reported that the video shared by Baltimore-based graphic designer Benjamin Jancewicz was shot in August at Mountain Vista High School in the Denver suburbs. In the video, which was recorded on Snapchat and set to LL Cool J’s 1990 hit “Mama Said Knock You Out” to preserve the anonymity of the students, the black teen is seen punching his white classmate in the head. The Denver Post reported that the white student was recorded doing a “T-pose,” a gaming meme that Lt. Lori Bronner, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, said has been associated with “the KKK to represent a burning cross.” The report and Jancewicz both noted that the white student …
VIDEO: Entire High School Football Team Kneels for National Anthem
When Colin Kaepernick decided to kneel for the National Anthem, I doubt he expected to make half of the impact that he has imparted on not only society, but America's political climate as well. In the wake of Kaepernick's absence from the NFL, many have taken up his cause and continued the protest, but his legacy has gone far beyond just the National Football League. This is most evident in the actions of Capital Christian High School, whose entire football team  has kneeled in support of the fight against police brutality. (H/T to Overtime for providing the video below) Unlike in the NFL, where typically only one player or a handful choose to speak out from each team, this high school squad stands (not literally) in protest as one cohesive unit. Somewhere, Colin Kaepernick is watching this video with a smile on his face, as his vision has far from died in his absence from football. In fact, it may have only gro…

BREAKING NEWS: Dallas grand jury indicts Amber Guyger for murder in the fatal shooting of Botham Jean

BREAKING NEWS: Dallas grand jury indicts Amber Guyger for murder in the fatal shooting of Botham Jean After listening to testimony all day on Wednesday, a Texas grand jury has decided to indict Amber Guyger for murder in the shooting death of Botham Jean this past September.  The grand jury had the option to indict Guyger for murder or manslaughter or not indict her at all. Guyger, who was a Dallas police officer at the time of the shooting, was arrested and charged with manslaughter three days after she shot and killed unarmed Botham Jean in his apartment. She was also eventually fired. Before the grand jury decision was handed down, Jean’s family’s attorney Lee Merritt asserted that he was hoping for a murder indictment. “Anything less, we feel, would be a miscarriage of justice,” he told Dallas News. Menial Tasks, Slurs and Swastikas: Many Black Workers at TESLA Say They Faced Racism

Menial Tasks, Slurs and Swastikas: Many Black Workers at TESLA Say They Faced Racism
African-American workers have reported threats, humiliation and barriers to promotion at the plant. The automaker says there is no pattern of bias.

FREMONT, Calif. — Owen Diaz had seen swastikas in the bathrooms at Tesla’s electric-car plant, and he had tried to ignore racist taunts around the factory.

“You hear, ‘Hey, boy, come here,’ ‘N-i-g-g-e-r,’ you know, all this,” said Mr. Diaz, who is African-American. Then, a few hours into his shift running the elevators, he noticed a drawing on a bale of cardboard. It had an oversize mouth, big eyes and a bone stuck in the patch of hair scribbled over a long face, with “Booo” written underneath.

On that winter night in the factory, when, he said, a supervisor admitted drawing the figure as a joke, Mr. Diaz had had enough. He typed a complaint to a Tesla manager on his phone. “Racist effigy & drawing” was the subject.

“When you really just look at it, yo…

Nooses, Nazis and racist slurs tolerated at GM plant, lawsuit says

Nooses, Nazis and racist slurs tolerated at GM plant, lawsuit says
On March 22, 2017, General Motors' factory worker Mark Edwards was headed for his work area inside the company's transmission plant in Toledo, where he has worked since 2014.

Edwards, a 59-year-old black man, turned the corner, heading into his department and was met by an unbelievable sight: Someone had hung a noose by his work station.

"I was startled, really startled by it," said Edwards, who took a picture of it. "I couldn’t believe someone did that. I couldn’t understand who in my work area disliked me that much or had that much hatred to hang a noose by my job."

Edwards, who has worked for GM in various plants since 1977, said he has endured racial slurs and harassment for years from coworkers. He reported each incident to his union reps and managers. He said nothing was done to end it.

The noose was too much, though. Edwards said that in 1968, his then-19-year-old brother was tied up …

Hate crimes in Canada jump 47 percent in 2017

Hate crimes in Canada jump 47 percent in 2017: Hate crimes in Canada increased 47 percent in 2017, primarily targeting Muslims, Jews and black people, according to figures released by the country’s statistical agency on Thursday. The biggest increase was in crimes targeting Muslims, Statistics Canada reported, in a year that saw a deadly mass shooting in a Quebec mosque, followed by a government motion to study Islamophobia that itself sparked anti-Muslim sentiment. The spike mirrors an increase in hate crimes south of the …

EXCLUSIVE: CNN Fires Marc Lamont Hill Following Israel Comments

EXCLUSIVE: CNN Fires Marc Lamont Hill Following Israel Comments CNN Fires Marc Lamont Hill Following Israel Comments: Hill urged countries to boycott Israel in a speech, calling for a “free Palestine from the river to the sea.” - Mediaite
CNN severed ties with contributor MarcLamontHill on Thursday, following comments the university professor made about Israel and Palestine in a speech at the United Nations. “Marc Lamont Hill is no longer under contract with CNN,” a CNN spokesperson told Mediaite. Hill urged countries to boycott Israel in a speech on Wednesday, calling for a “free Palestine from the river to the sea.” His comments sparked an immediate backlash, with many noting “from the river to the sea” is a phrase used by Hamas and other anti-Israel terror groups. The phrase implies the replacement of Israel by a Palestine stretching from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea — though Hill disputes this characterization of his comments. “We have an opportunity to not just offer soli…
