The grievance that Panthers safety Eric Reid filed against the Bengals for not signing him earlier this year has been denied by the arbitrator.
Arbitrator Shyam Das ruled the Bengals were within their rights to ask Reid if he was going to continue kneeling during playing of the national anthem, the sources said. . . The NFLPA had argued the Bengals based their decision to pass on Reid solely on his answer to the question about the anthem.
Eventually, Reid signed with the Panthers on a one-year, $1.39 million deal. Carolina’s front office reportedly did not ask Reid about whether or not he planned to continue protesting before signing him. #nfl
