Ethiopian Israelis Rally in Tel Aviv Against Police Violence

Earlier this month, a policeman shot dead 24-year-old Yehuda Biadga, a mentally distressed man wielding a knife, in the Tel Aviv suburb of Bat Yam. Israel’s Justice Ministry is investigating the incident.

Biadga’s family accused police of excessive force, and protest organizers called the incident “the straw that broke the camel’s back” after years of perceived discrimination by Israeli authorities.

"I always here white people here in the us telling black people to leave. Leave? And go where? Back to Africa is a popular chant. But there is racism and a serious Neo-Nazi movement in the west. South Africa? I dont think i have to mention how blacks are treated there. The Latino nations have the same issue with darker skinned individuals (plus i dont speak Spanish). Israel? A few years ago a Israeli mob attacked and burned African owned businesses downtown. With their own history, you would think they would be less violent against another race of people. So. I ask you racist white man. Where exactly would you like me to go that there is now racism?"
