Family’s cars set on fire and covered in swastikas and racial slurs after daughter dates a black boy
Vandals set fire to two vehicles belonging to a North Carolina family after their teen daughter dated a black boy. The Goldsboro family found their new SUV and another vehicle had been burned and spray-painted with swastikas and racial slurs calling the 14-year-old girl a “n*gger-loving b*tch,” reported WTVD-TV.

“It just makes your heart sink,” said the girl’s mother, Amanda Miller. “I’ve always tried to instill in her be friends with who is good to you, like, who is good to you. It doesn’t (matter) what color somebody is and it doesn’t (matter) what race they are.”
Miller said her daughter, a freshman at Spring Creek High School, met her boyfriend at church, and they’ve since broken up amicably, but she worried the culprits were capable of violence.
“I think anybody that has that much anger and write something like that and damage someone else’s property — they’re capable of doing bodily harm to somebody else,” Miller told the TV station. “You still wake up every day and think it’s a bad dream.”
She said her daughter has been targeted before, online and in person because she had dated a black boy in middle school.
“She’s always kind of had people staring at her and telling her it’s not the way it should be,” Miller told WNCN-TV, “and we just kind of tell her, unfortunately, this is the world we live in. But, you never expect that they’re going to go to this extreme.”
Miller said the boy’s family has been supportive, and sheriff’s deputies are investigating the case as a possible hate crime.
