@redfishstream The moment someone got billionaire presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg to pose and say “stop and frisk”.⁠
Stop and frisk was Bloomberg's signature policy when he was the mayor of New York. The program of stopping and frisking civilians in New York is an invasive, controversial tactic used by police in the U.S. that overwhelmingly targeted Black and Brown communities. ⁠
Its use by police peaked during Bloomberg's time as mayor. In 2011, 84% of more than 685,000 cases of stop and frisk in New York were against Black and Latino people.⁠
