An excellent profile of Bass Reeves (1838-1910), a former slave who became a deputy U.S. marshal and is thought to be the inspiration for the Lone Ranger. He worked in Arkansas and Oklahoma Territory and during his long career, he was credited with arresting more than 3,000 felons. Episode # 9 of the series.
