I stood there in my masculine glory and had my friend Veronica’s Mom’s dress on. Deadpan the whole time. Got the easy laughs. Had my sweats on underneath. Wasn’t no deeper issue. That wasn’t me internally crying out to be a woman. It was a “let me get this gotdamn laugh real quick”. And it was mad easy. A lot of times, that’s all it is out here. Let me get this easy laugh.
