African American man reports threat, racial slurs on walk
A Rochester man reported an alarming encounter to police, in which he says a driver pointed a gun at him and yelled racial slurs while he was walking to a convenience store.
On his way to Kwik Trip around 2:15 a.m., the 26-year-old African American man had to walk through the roundabout at the intersection of Badger Hills Drive and Superior Drive Northwest, according to Rochester Police Interim Chief John Sherwin.
It was at that intersection that another man drove by, circled the roundabout and allegedly began shouting racial slurs at the man, Sherwin said. The man also allegedly pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the 26-year-old man.
